自然科学不容易产生代沟。因为自然科学命题要证明其真伪，只要逻辑能证明清楚，或实验能验证，老少就都不会产生争论。

但对于社会科学命题，要证明其真伪，不仅要靠理论逻辑，还要有实践经验基础。若没有实践阅历，或实践经验基础薄弱，对同一个问题的看法，老少或不同人之间，会有很大不同。比如，父与子之间，就经常看法不同，根子主要在于实践经验不同。再比如，没有经历过农村生活的，跟经历过农村生活的，对农村看法肯定也不一样。

所以，关于社会科学的命题，常常是争论不休。对于社会科学而言，真理确实常常掌握在少数人手里。

对于自然科学真理，可通过教育普及化，让更多人掌握。但对于社会科学真理，通过教育来普及，是有缺陷的。因为教育代替不了阅历以及深度思考。另外，能深度思考的人，也是人类中的一小部分，大部分人，多擅长平面思考。

对社会科学研究者而言，阅历就是学历，年龄就是知识，人品就是文凭，纸上得来终觉浅，绝知此事要躬行，社会是社会科学研究者真正的大学。
