摘要
学术界对魏晋南北朝小说的研究重点历来集中在《搜神记》和《世说新语》这两部书上。建国以来对志怪小说的分类,一般以《搜神记》、《博物志》和《拾遗记》分别作为志怪小说中杂记体类、地理博物类和杂史体类三个子类的代表。由此可见,《拾遗记》在志怪小说中的地位十分重要。然而在古小说研究中它却一直处于不受重视的尴尬境地。
由于典籍记载的有限和年代的久远,《拾遗记》留下了很多谜。本文从三个部分对《拾遗记》进行研究:第一章对是《拾遗记》的写作背景和作者的相关介绍,重在结合王嘉所处的后赵、前秦等国的佛教、道教现状来说明《拾遗记》的
创作背景,并对王嘉形象在后世被神仙化的过程加以分析,还有对王嘉生平的大致考证。第二章是写《拾遗记》与“麒麟送子’’,“元旦画鸡",“灵鹊兆喜"等相关民俗的关系,第三章是写《拾遗记》中的女性形象分析,《拾遗记》中有为数甚多的女性形象,王嘉笔下的大多数女性形象都带有神仙气质,这是王嘉对当时以男色为美的审美观的一次反拨。
