为促进亚洲宗教、艺术与历史研究领域的中外学生交流与培养，复旦大学文史研究院和东京大学东洋文化研究所、哥廷根大学东亚系、加州大学伯克利校区历史系李嘉诚基金项目将在复旦大学（上海市邯郸路220号）合作开设第十三届“亚洲艺术、宗教与历史研究”夏季研修班。本次研修班主题为“在亚洲背景中重新观察近世中国史”。研修班设置6-8门课程，邀请日本、美国、中国、德国的知名教授授课，并安排课后分组讨论以及课程考察，学生需完成课程论文。

The National Institute for Advanced Humanistic Studies at FudanUniversity (IAHS), the Institute for the Advanced Study of Asia of TokyoUniversity, Department of East Asian Studies, UniversityofGöttingen, andDepartment of History (LKSF Program), University of California, Berkeley inviteapplications from advanced graduate students for an intensive summer program inStudies of East Asian Arts, Religion, and History (June 23 – July 2,2024) in Shanghai, China. Professors from prestigious institutions will provideseminars, each with a specific topic of their respective expertise. We will also arrange associated research activitiesto complement the lectures. The Program will end on July 2nd; dormitory rooms shouldbe vacated by then.

The Program organizesvisits to the Shanghai Museum or the Shanghai Library, local libraries, templesand churches as well as a visit to Jiangnan areas where significant culturaland architectural traditions are preserved. The chance to meet and exchangeviews with graduate students from Tokyo, Fudan, and other East Asianuniversities is also encouraged. Students are expected to submit anessay after the sixseminars.

The topic of this year’s seminar is " ReconsideringModern Chinese History in the Asian Context ".

一、招收对象Prospective students

1、欧美各大学亚洲宗教、艺术与历史研究领域博士候选人15人（申报者的中文要求：听、说熟练）

This program will accept 15 graduate students specializing inEast Asian studies from universities in North America and Europe. Those whohave passed their required Ph.D qualifying examinations and have startedwriting their dissertations are encouraged to apply. (The primary language ofinteraction will be Mandarin Chinese, and reading ability in Classical Chineseis also strongly recommended. It is imperative that graduate students have thenecessary language training to engage in serious academic discussion in Chinese.Those with the equivalent of advanced Modern Chinese are invited to apply.）

2、中国国内各高校人文学科类硕士或博士研究生25人；

25 graduate students specializing in East Asian studies from universities inChina.

3、日本、韩国等亚洲各大学亚洲宗教、艺术与历史研究领域博士候选人5-6人（申报者的中文要求：听、说熟练）。

5-6 graduate students specializing in East Asianstudies from universities in Japan and Korea. (The primary language ofinteraction will be Mandarin Chinese, and reading ability in Classical Chineseis also strongly recommended. It is imperative that graduate students have thenecessary language training to engage in serious academic discourse in Chinese.Those with the equivalent of advanced Modern Chinese are invited to apply.)

学生自己负责：往返上海的机票费及机场到复旦大学的交通费

复旦大学文史研究院负责：1、日程中安排的参观考察费用

2、学生（海外和外地）在夏令营期间的住宿费

3、所有学生在夏令营期间的餐费

Room, board and the cost of the research visits willbe provided by the IAHS. Students are expected through their universities tocover their own air-tickets and ground transportation from airport to Fudan University. Anynecessary visa documentation will be provided by the Institute, but visaprocessing fees will not be covered.

五、结业证书Certificate

参加研修班的学生修满课时，将向全体学员发放学习证明。

A certificate ofcompletion will be issued to all students who have completed the course.
