海南省政府国际学生奖学金简介

为进一步推动海南省来华国际学生教育事业的发展，海南省政府设立“来华留学海南省政府奖学金”（以下简称奖学金）。奖学金原则上主要用于资助申请到具有接受来华外国学生资质的海南省属本科高校攻读学士学位、硕士学位、博士学位的外国优秀学生。

In order to further promote the undertakings of the education of international students in Hainan Province, Hainan Provincial Government has established the “International Scholarship Students under the Hainan Provincial Government” program (hereinafter referred to as scholarship students).

三亚学院是海南省三亚市的一所综合性大学，是海南省政府奖学金的招收院校，具有较丰富的对外汉语及汉语言、文学和中国文化教育、培训经验。学校学科门类齐全、综合优势明显，学校下设16个教学学院，开设63个本科专业（含专业方向），覆盖法学、文学、经济学、管理学、工学、理学、农学、教育学等9个学科门类，现已开设工商管理（国际产能合作服务）、国际经济与贸易（自贸区贸易管理与服务）及旅游管理类—酒店管理（中外合作办学）三个全英文授课专业。在校学生20000人，学校总占地面积3000亩，拥有学术交流中心、艺术中心、实验中心、计算机中心、高科技图书馆、标准游泳池、高尔夫练习场、现代体育场、风雨运动场以及篮球网球场等系列现代化教学、生活设施。

学校自成立以来，先后与英国、加拿大、瑞士、俄罗斯、美国、德国、西班牙、意大利、韩国、法国、日本等国家近30余所高校建立了多层次、宽领域的友好交流的合作关系，自2011年起招收国际学生，现有来自俄罗斯、法国、英国、美国等10余个国家的外国学生在校学习。

Application Procedure for the Hainan Provincial Governmental Scholarship Programin 2017

Ranking top three on the List of China's Private Universities, SanyaUniversity is an independent undergraduateuniversitylocated in Sanya, Hainan Province。It is an institution admitting international students under the Hainan Provincial Government Scholarship Program。The University has 16schoolsand offers 63undergraduate majorswhich cover 9 subjects including Law, Literature, Economics, Management, Engineering, Science, Agriculture and Education etc。 Currently, the University offers 3 undergraduate majors which fully delivered in English, including Business Administration (Concentration in International Production Capacity Cooperation Service), International Economics & Trade (Concentration in Trade Management and Service for Free Trade Zone) and Tourism Management - Hospitality Management (Sino-foreign Cooperatively Running Program)。

Right now, the university accommodates a student populationof nearly 20,000。 The University campus covers an area of 200 hectares and has been facilitated with a hotel offering the services of accommodation and conferences, an arts center, a high-tech library, two standard swimming pools, a golf driving range, stadiums, as well as basketball, volleyball and tennis courts, etc。 for learning and living。

一、招生类别及奖学金期限

注： 1、奖学金获得者来华所学专业可以使用汉语或英语授课。

2、奖学金期限为录取时确定的学习年限，学生来华后原则上不予延长。

I. Categories of Applicants and Duration of Scholarship

Re: 1. the scholarship students can study their majors in both Chinese and English languages.

2. the duration of scholarship should remain the same as the one prescribed in student’s recruitment. It will basically not be extended.

二、申请途径和申请时间

申请人应在规定时间内向三亚学院国际处提出申请，申请时间截至2017年5月15日。申请材料可发往报名邮箱：sanya_university@126.conm

三、申请人资格

1.申请人须为非中国籍公民，身体健康、未同时获得中国政府其他各类奖学金。

2.申请人须目前不在中国高校学习。

3.申请人须高中毕业且获得毕业证书，年龄不超过30周岁。

4.申请人成绩在高中阶段本年级或本班级名列前茅。

5.申请人应具备相应的汉语水平，并提供相关证明：如HSK3级以上证书、

汉语水平四级180分以上、其他汉语学习和考试证书等。

III. Qualifications

1. Applicants must be non-Chinese nationals, in good health and not be subsidizing by any other coinciding scholarships.

2. Applicants must not be currently studying at universities in China.

3. Applicants for bachelor degree must have achieved high school diploma and be under the age of 30.

4. Applicants’ transcript must be top-ranking in their class or grade at high school.

5. Applicants must have HSK certificates (band 3 and above, 180+ points for band 4 test or other Chinese learning and examination certificates).

四、奖学金内容

本科生奖学金资助期限为4学年，奖学金主要用于缴纳注册费、学费、基本教材费和综合保险费。

注：

1.奖学金生要求进行超出学校教学计划的实验或实习，所超出费用由本人自理。

2.基本教材费：是指学校指定的免费提供给奖学金生学习课程所必需的教材，其他书籍资料自理。

3.因汉语水平未达到应有程度不能马上进入专业学习的学生来校后需要进行汉语补习，汉语补习阶段不享受奖学金，所有费用需要自行交纳。

4.来华留学生综合医疗保险：主要用于学生因大病住院或发生人身意外伤害所支付的费用。

5.奖学金国际学生需要自己承担的费用:

A住宿费：单人间45元/天/人、双人间25元/天/人。

B国际旅费

C生活费

D体检费：约280元。

E居留许可证：每年800元。

IV. Details of the Scholarship

The duration of scholarship will be 4 academic years, covering registration fee, tuition fee, fee for basic learning materials and insurance.

Note:

1. Costs of the laboratory experiment or internship that is beyond the university’s arrangements should be paid by the student.

2. Fee for basic learning materials covers the necessary learning materials prescribed by the host university, and other materials shall be self-afforded.

3. The students whose Chinese language proficiency are not up to required level, they will need elementary Chinese study prior to the major study. And the scholarship does not cover the duration of elementary Chinese study and the students need pay all expenses by themselves.

4. Comprehensive Medical Insurance and Benefit Plan for International Students in China are against diseases and accidents. University of Sanyais entitled to ask for compensation on the payment receipts from the insurance company for the expenses generated from hospitalizing for serious diseases or from accidental injury according to the stipulated insurance articles.

5. Expenses to be covered by scholarship students

--accommodation, 45Yuan/day for single room and 25Yuan/day for double room

-- International travel expenses

--living expenses

--Physical check expenses, 280 Yuan

--residence permit expense, 800 Yuan/year

五、申请材料：

请申请人如实填写和提交以下申请材料：

♦本科生

1.《海南省政府来华国际学生奖学金申请表》用中文或英文填写；

2.《三亚学院外国学生入学申请表》、《在华事务担保书》

3.护照个人信息页复印件、护照照片6张

4.经过公证的最高学历证明，中英文以外文本需附经公证的中文或英文的译文（原件）；如申请人为在校学生或已就业，需另外提交本人就读学校出具的在校证明或就业单位出具的在职证明，中英文以外文本需附经公证的中文或英文的译文。

5.经过公证的学习成绩单，HSK成绩单和汉语水平考试证书。

6.《外国人体检记录和健康证明书》（由中国卫生检疫部门统一印制》的原件及复印件。

7.奖学金申请书，字数不少于600字，用中文书写；

以上材料请于五月二十八日前交至三亚学院，无论录取与否，申请材料概不退还。

VI. Application Materials

The applicants must fill in and provide the following materials truly and correctly (two copies in duplicate).

1. International Student Provincial ScholarshipApplication Form, completed in either Chinese or English,

2. University of SanyaInternational Student Admission Application Form and Letter of Guarantor,

3. Copy of valid passport and six passport-sized pictures,

4. Highest diploma (notarized photocopy). If applicants are university students or already employed, they should also provide documents of student certificate or certificate of employment. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with translations in Chinese or English.

5. Student score records as well as HSK records.

6. Photocopy of Foreigner Physical Examination Form (printed by Chinese quarantine authority and only for those whose period of studies in China lasts up to six months) filled in English. The medical examinations must cover all the items listed in the Foreigner Physical Examination Form. Incomplete records or those without the signature of the attending physician, official stamp of the hospital or a sealed photograph of the applicants are invalid. The medical examination results will be valid for 6 months. All applicants are kindly requested to take this factor into consideration while determining the time to take the medical examination.

7. Study plan, no less than 600 Characters in Chinese or 1,000 words in English. Applicants need to write a detailed report about their study and research plan.

Applicants should submit the application materials mentioned above before May 28th of that year. Whether applicants are enrolled, the application documents will not be returned.

六、录取及通知

1.申请者可通过电子邮件问询申请进程及结果。三亚学院国际处办公室

2.三亚学院负责对申请人的申请材料审核并上报海南省教育厅。

3.三亚学院将在7月初为符合录取条件的奖学金申请者邮寄《录取通知书》、

《报到须知》、《外国留学人员来华签证申请表》（JW202表），被录取的学生应在8月末规定的报到时间内到校报到注册。

VI. Approval and Notification

1. Applicants may check the application process and results via email. Email address of International Department, University of Sanya：sanya_university@126.com

2.University of Sanyawill be responsible to verify application information and report to the Department of Education of Hainan Province.

3.Qualified applicants will receive their “Admission Letter”, “Enrollment Instructions”, and “visa application form for study in China” (JW202) at the beginning of July. Enrolled students must arrive at University of Sanyaand register by the end of August as requested.

七、入学报到

学生须于2017年9月初按照规定时间入学报到，办理注册手续。因故不能按期报到者，应直接向我校外事处说明情况、请假，未经学校批准而逾期不报到超过2周者，按自动放弃学籍处理，奖学金资格不予保留。

VII. University Registration

Students who are admitted must register at University of Sanyaat the beginning of September of 2017, following the exact date indicated on the “Admission Letter”, or write to International Dept. for absence approval under special circumstances. Otherwise it will be considered as voluntarily giving up enrollment and scholarship when time of absence exceeds two weeks.
